yes3D model of a flying boat designed for maritime patrol, search and rescue, and anti-submarine warfare. It was first flown in 1935 and served in various military and civilian roles during World War II and beyond. It has a distinctive twin-boom tail and can operate from both land and water. The PBY Catalina is credited with sinking numerous enemy submarines and rescuing countless downed airmen during the war, and it also played a role in the development of long-range aviation and aerial firefighting. Today, some examples of the PBY Catalina remain in use as firefighting aircraft or in private ownership.
The model is made in compliance with the proportions and dimensions of the real aircraft.
