3D model of an iconic racing car built by Henry Ford in 1902. The 999 showcased Ford's engineering prowess and commitment to innovation in the early years of the automotive industry. The car featured a ladder-frame chassis, rudimentary suspension with solid axles and leaf springs, and wooden wheels. The 999 was equipped with a chain drive system and used mechanical drum brakes for braking. The car gained notoriety when legendary racer Barney Oldfield drove it to victory in a highly publicized race on October 25, 1902. This triumph played a crucial role in securing the financial backing needed for Ford to launch the Ford Motor Company in 1903.
