3D model of a large, space-based observatory that is set to be launched in 2021. It is designed to observe the universe in the infrared spectrum and will be located at the second Lagrange point, 1.5 million kilometers from Earth. JWST has a 6.5-meter primary mirror and four scientific instruments, which will enable it to study the formation of galaxies, stars, and planetary systems. It is named after James E. Webb, a former administrator of NASA.

The model is made in compliance with the proportions and dimensions of the real spacecraft.

All files were "smoothed", but you can write to us and get a version with the original geometry. You can download the model in any convenient format.
