yes3D model of a military vehicle, also known as the VW Thing, turned civilian that was produced from 1968 to 1983. The Type 181 featured a rear-mounted air-cooled engine, a rugged suspension system, and a body design that could accommodate a variety of configurations. Its unique design allowed for the windshield to be folded down and the doors to be easily removed, making it a versatile off-road vehicle. Despite being marketed as a "Thing" in the United States, the Type 181 was originally developed as a military vehicle and was used by various armed forces around the world.
3D model created maximally close to a real Volkswagen car and based on the dimensions from open sources.
All model files were "smoothed". By request we provide unsmoothed files.
All main parts of the model are separated objects. You can easily change all materials.
We provide several formats for each model, most of them are available by default.
Images are rendered using V-Ray plugin, lighting and environment are not included to a set.
