A Grand Sport

Willow Springs, 1963. A new race season brings an inexperienced car and driver to the track. Exhausted and sun beaten, the rookie driver delivers an unprecedented performance. The loud V8 screaming through the corners calls as a warning to racers alike. As the final turns fly by the pit crew members celebrate with smirks on their faces. It’s clear Chevrolet is onto something here, but can it be enough to compete with the big boys at Le Mans.

The Grand Sport proved it could be a new contender to the motorsports racing world. In some events beating out Shelby's and other successful prototypes. Unfortunately, the Grand Sport never reached it's full potential and GM pulled the project from racing existence after only a few races. The question remains: What could have been of the Grand Sport if development had continued?
