“Golden Bridge” is one of the five largest cable-stayed structures on the planet. It has unique V-shaped (I used to think that V means Vladivostok) pylons which have no analogs in the world. Supports with a height of 225 meters look like the wings of a gull. Some people think that it means V-Victory. The 737 meter-long central span of the bridge is one of the longest in the world. Thanks to its expressive silhouette the bridge became a symbol of Vladivostok.

Vladivostok is also the city of endless mists, the city of Japanese cars with right-hand drive, the city of warships and cruise liners, the city of millions of tourists and tourist buses, and the city of the bridges. Also, the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy is in VL city, so you can see military planes like SU-34 nicknamed “Duckling”. It’s a multifunctional supersonic fighter-bomber.

3 unique bridges were built for the APEC Summit in 2012 - Over the Eastern Bosphorus strait, Amur Bay, and Golden Horn Bay. No cable-stayed bridges had ever been built overseas straits of this length before in our country.
