Improvised desperation

A lone astronaut trapped on Mars creates an improvised vehicle out of an old Mars rover. The old styling of 80s technology has its limitations, his repairs don't hold out when he drives his already battered machine into a rock and destroys a wheel. With no cabin, limited resources, and no chance of rescue, despair follows.

I wanted to see what I could do with something a little different, combining a robotic Mars rover with something driveable. I also wanted to limit it to something more old-school, 80s-90s styled technology - for example, the vehicle is controlled by atari joysticks on an old scavenged crt monitor.
