On the edge

My entry is inspired by the infamous Group B rally class. Particularly, the mad Lancia Delta S4.

These cars were famous for wildly overpowered and incredibly dangerous. Yet, they were driven always on the edge to achieve the best times by drivers who were brilliant, daring and skilled in equal measure.

This is a tribute to the late Henri Toivonen and Sergio Cresto who both lost their lives driving this car on a mountain road around Corsica. I imagined they died doing what they loved.

This is not an attempt to recreate that moment. Simply an homage depicting the harmony between these men and machine in their typical element.
