Oscar Niemeyer Museum

The building with the name of his architect, Oscar Niemeyer, which is considered to be one of the key figures in the development of modern architecture, is contemplated as the largest art museum in Latin America, located in Curitiba, Brazil, and housing houses important references of national and international artistic production, with approximately 7000 works in the areas of visual arts, architecture and design.

The history of the museum began in 1967 with what is now the main building. Only in 2001 the State decided to transform the generous area into a museum and, starting on November 22, 2002, the building underwent adaptations and gained an the iconic annex, popularly called the "Eye", also designed by the renowned Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer.

The museum was considered one of the 20 most beautiful on the world, together with big names like Guggenheim, and is also included in the world ranking of the most visited exhibitions.
