Nearly 5 years ago when I began to study 3Ds MAX I tried to model VW Beetle for the first time. It seemed to me that taking such a complicated project will allow me to master polygonal modeling in shorter time. I spent a lot of time reading and watching tutorials but unfortunately, I could not finish it. An askew car body and wheels were successfully forgotten. In the end of November I encountered your competition and looking at the poster with a blue car I remembered my Beetle, which by the way, was originally blue too. I realized that it was a good chance for me to check my acquired knowledge of modeling and visualization for the past few years. I found the source file of my Beetle in old projects and opened it expecting to see something funny. The polygon mesh was so terrible that it was easier to redo rather than trying to improve. I had too much work and too little time for it. At first I started searching for drawings and necessary references. Due to a large number of modifications of this car it took a long time. Then after separating everything into different folders and defining the main elements and stylistics I proceeded with work. I took inspiration from the style of American hot rods so that to make my project more interesting and creative. I consider VW Beetle to be comfortable and stylish at the same time. This is the variant I would choose for myself. I would love to drive this car at night down empty bright streets enjoying nice weather and old music from the receiver.
