Phase Two: Establishing Colony Base

WIP

I tried to come up with a vihicle design that sutisfied all the capabilities of an all-terrain rover plus a carrier for a colony base construction.

The vehicle can carry up to two load crates on it's body and pull a trailer.

I designed a combination of wheels-legs because I wanted to emphazise on the ingenuity of the expeditioon team to limit their resources to one multi-purpose vehicle production that can be used as a Scouting/Exploration all-terrain vehicle in Phase One of the colony, a Load-carrier to build the Base in Phase Two and casual Transportation Vehicle between other sites and colonies in in Phase Three.

I tried to depict the vehicle with a "down to earth" design. Not too alien looking not too contemporary. So no levitation devices or cliche solar panels that need maintenance and complex manufacturing.

The heavy scene reached my low-performance laptop to it's limits so I had to work my way aroud the hardware limitations by compositing a scene where most things that I could't model or burden my laptop with, whouldn't be expected to be visible. So I hid the crew inside their vehicles and turned to a night scene to avoid having to model a detailed terrain or have sunlight shine on the windows and reflect the surounding environment.

Due to this setup not much of the vehicles' details are visible so check the WIP link.
